So I have not heard of a centralized company commander and/or command staff and therefore have taken it upon myself (while I am still in the state) to head recruiting for King County Company and be the ENLISTED head of the company until someone contacts me saying they want or will or both to take over the position of company sgt.  I have heard some argue that we can't use official military ranks because it's "plagiarism" or some stupid "copy right" infrigement of some kind but I dont buy that argument.  We are our OWN organization and therefore can use our OWN ranking system and if we decide to call our squad leaders SGTS and our Platoon leaders LTS then i dont see the issue.  We're not CLAIMING to have ACTUAL MILITARY RANK, but within the MILITIA movement (at least in WA state) we have those ranks.

The primary recruiting email I use is 1stSgt.Flynn.WA.Militia@gmail.com.  Like I said before, I will immediately stand down and remove all official rank from myself when I am contacted by someone who wants to fill my place.  I was in CAP for awhile and understand military rank and structure quite well and also understand that if any organization wants to be effective it needs SOME sort of centralized leading.

We hope this works out for you in King County.  With your extensive combat experience in CAP, we are sure the county stands secure.

Well, three actully sunshine. You would do well to remember that we don't awnser to you.

We operate in a geographical area...not county lines.

To be honest, I am actually not a bad shot.  Though I never was tought in CAP to shoot, I was tought by ex-military personnel and take pride in it.  Im an even better shot with a pistol: CQC is my specialty.

I would, except that will be very difficult seeing it is so far.

Mr. Flynn,

May I suggest you connect with Lt Rydder and sign up for the 2nd Batt FTX in May?

well how are things coming along with this group? I'm in King County and took some time away from trying to get my group going but back at it. Hopefully this time around I get the response I was looking for.

Well, the county is pretty quiet.

The only organized unit that I am aware of it the 42nd AIG. IF you know of any others, let me know and I will post their names in the King County section; maybe give them a little publicity.

BTW: The 42nd is still holding tryouts for 4 positions.

I want to join the miltia.  What do I need to do?

Present yourself to the local group or start one your self.
