Hello. Just responding to your comment to me. After being a Firefighter\EMT and Police Officer\EMT I spent 12 years as an Active Duty Army Combat Medic until I was medically retired in 2015. While I was a Medic I had a 15 month combat tour to Iraq, and 4 years of operational tours in South Korea. I instructed new medics for 3 years in Texas during both the field portion in the hills of San Antonio and classroom portion. During this time I trained over 14,000 medics in personal and vehicle searching techniques and physical control; basic infantry tasks and MOUT; ground and air MEDAVAC; mounted and dismounted land navigation; CPR, EMT, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Life Support; cricothyrotomy, chest tubes, IVs via veins, venous cut down, interosseous, and jugular; sitting internal and externally; tourniquets; advanced blood stopping techniques with combat gauze or forceps; and numerous other tasks. I also like all soldiers trained or taught hundreds of other tasks from the SMCT. I am also now a Stop the Bleed instructor as well as many other thu gs.

Hello, and thank you. My family is an old homestead family from the Southwest side of Mt St Helens, Cowlitz County. Having been in the Military, a Cop, a Firefighter, and a Scoutmaster for over 33 years, I have always been someone who feels its better to be prepared then to be caught unaware. I'm moving back up on "the place" and have plans to group and organize friends and family there. I always been an organizer, teacher, trainer, mentor, and go-to-guy. But any suggestions or advice is always welcome.
I'm currently part of a group at this time and we are happy to work with like-minded groups. Situation in my corner of WA specifically is that of shortage - there are very few people part of a militia here.
